We welcome you to the Southwark Hotel & Apartments booking website and hope you enjoy your experience but you must read and agree to these terms and conditions as they will apply to your use of our website and any bookings you make with us using our online booking application. Southwark Hotel & Apartments will accept your reservation subject to the following terms and conditions.
Southwark Hotel & Apartments reserves the right to change, modify, add or remove sections of this website and these terms and conditions at any time without notice or liability. If you are a regular user of our online booking application we recommend that you check this website and these terms and conditions on a regular basis, as it is not the responsibility of Southwark Hotel & Apartments to inform you of any changes and any future reservations you make will be made subject to the terms and conditions which apply at the time a booking is made.
Payment Policy
All rate plans with a flexible cancellation policy do not require payment upfront* (unless otherwise stated in the rate plan conditions). 100% of the total reservation amount will be charged by the hotel at check-in. Applicable hotel payment terms will be detailed at the time of booking and in the booking confirmation email.
For all rate plans that are non-refundable (e.g. Advance Purchase, special sale or promotional rates) 100% of the total reservation amount will be charged within 24-hours from the booking being made.
A 2.5% credit card processing fee applies for all payments made by credit card or payWave at the hotel. Guests can avoid this fee by paying with Eftpos or Cash at the hotel.
All reservations require a credit card guarantee at the time of booking. The final amount shown to you for payment will be shown in New Zealand Dollars. This amount will be charged to your credit card or converted to your local currency by your credit card company when payment is due. Southwark Hotel & Apartments is not responsible for currency conversion and therefore any questions regarding currency conversion must be directed to your credit card company.
In the event where the customer’s overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or law firm, the customer will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full, including commission on collection of the additional costs and also including legal demand costs.
Cancellation, Booking Modifications and No Show Policy
Note: Some Special Promotional Hotel Deals and Rates require full payment up front with no cancellations or changes accepted – these are clearly stated on the terms and conditions page for each deal they apply to.
A cancellation charge may be imposed if you cancel or modify all or part of your reservation at Southwark Hotel & Apartments or if you fail to check-in (No show). Cancellations may be made by contacting reception: reception@southwarkapartments.co., or phone 03 3777 803
Cancellation policies vary depending on rate plan booked.
You must cancel your reservation no less than 24 hours prior to 2pm on the day on which you are due to arrive to avoid a cancellation charge. The cancellation charge is the full amount of the first night’s accommodation or package rate you have booked at
Relocations
Southwark Hotel & Apartments retains the right to cancel or relocate any bookings without notice.
Tax Information
New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) is included in all amounts shown and charged to your credit card. Southwark Hotel & Apartments is required by New Zealand law to charge GST on all goods sold or used within New Zealand. The GST rate is 15%.
Reservation Limits
By using this website and paying for your reservation by credit card you represent and warrant that you are a minimum 18 years of age to use this site and create legal binding obligations for any liability incurred. You agree that you will be personally and financially responsible for the use of this website and for anyone you have supplied your login
Additional Guests and Children Policy:
There will be extra charges applicable if the number of adults exceeds the stated occupancy allowed.
Cots are available for a nightly fee for children under two years of age – please contact the hotel to confirm availability
Check In Policy:
Check in at Southwark Hotel & Apartments is from 2pm New Zealand time on the day of arrival. You may attempt to check in prior to the hotels’ specified check-in time, but we do not guarantee that your room will be available for your use prior to this time.
You will be required to provide a credit card at the time of check in as security for any extra charges you may incur while at the hotel. If you do not have a credit card available at check in then you will be required to provide a cash deposit of $200 New Zealand dollars^.

Check Out Policy:
Check out at Southwark Hotel & Apartments is 10am New Zealand time on the day of departure. Requests may be made at the time of check in for an extension to this time and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The hotels decision on any extension of check out time is final. Extra charges may apply for any extension to check out time at the discretion of Southwark Hotel & Apartments.
Any unused cash deposit will be refunded to the user at check out. You may request your credit card imprint back from the hotel at the time of check out, otherwise it will be disposed of in a secure manner by the hotel at the time of check out.
User Information
By using this website to make a reservation you consent to receive emails about your booking. This will include a Booking Confirmation email, pre-arrival emails and a post-stay email. Southwark Hotel & Apartments will not send you any promotional or marketing related information without your express consent (which can be obtained at the time of booking by selecting the ‘subscribe to marketing material’, or at check-in directly with the hotel). Southwark Hotel & Apartments will not sell or distribute any of these records to any third party, other than when you order goods or services from a third party provider.
Errors and Omissions
Any reservation made on the Southwark Hotel & Apartments online booking website is made at your own risk. As you are entering information directly into the Hotel reservations system, all information entered by you will be assumed to be correct and final. Any errors or omissions will be the responsibility of the person entering any information into our online system. Southwark Hotel & Apartments will not be held responsible nor will Southwark Hotel & Apartments accept any financial liability for any errors or omissions in the information provided.
Disclaimers, Liability Policy and Damage
The use of this website is at your own risk. Southwark Hotel & Apartments does not warrant that the website will operate error-free or that this website and its server are free of computer viruses or other harmful material. If you use this website and your equipment is in need of servicing or replacement or if you lose data or experience any problems, Southwark Hotel & Apartments will accept no responsibility or liability for any damage, losses and costs you may suffer or incur in any circumstances.
In no event or circumstances shall Southwark Hotel & Apartments be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of, or in any way connected with the use of this website or with the delay or inability to use this website, or for any information, software products, and services obtained through this website, or otherwise arising out of the use of this website, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, even though Southwark Hotel & Apartments, its affiliates and or any of their suppliers have been advised of the possibility of damages.
Southwark Hotel & Apartments, to the fullest extent permitted by law, makes no representations or warranties, either express or implied, in relation to:
- the use of any information, software or software products or goods and/or services contained or referred to in this website
- any goods and/or services offered or provided by any third party provider
- the type, quality or standard of any goods and/or services offered or provided by Southwark Hotel & Apartments or by any third party provider or whether they are or could be fit or used for any purpose (even if that purpose has been made known)
- Southwark Hotel & Apartments, to the fullest extent permitted by law, expressly disclaims and excludes any and all liability to anyone using this website, making any reservation on this website or ordering any goods and/or services using this website. Without limiting the foregoing in any way, this exclusion of liability
